Vermont Rail System Presented With the Cargill Business Partner of the Year Award

The Vermont Rail System was surprised and honored as our long-time customer Cargill Salt presented VRS President David Wulfson and the members of Team VRS with its Business Partner of the Year Award. Each year Cargill gives the award to a partner that has gone above and beyond to provide an exceptional level of customer service. Vermont Rail System’s performance over the past year in helping Cargill grow its business stood out from the rest. Together we worked through mine shutdowns to maintain a steady supply of salt, found solutions to various car storage needs, and also continued the development of our new salt shed in Shelburne.

Accepting the award before embarking on the annual Customer Appreciation Day Excursion, David Wulfson noted how the decades-long relationship both companies have developed has allowed them to continue to expand and improve salt transloading services. “The Vermont Rail System is proud to receive the recognition and looks forward to continuing the excellent relationship we have with Cargill” he remarked.
