Vermont Rail System Celebrates America’s 250^th Anniversary

On Friday, July 17^th, Vermont Rail System and GATX proudly unveiled a newly painted commemorative locomotive in celebration of the 250^th anniversary of the United States. The commemorative locomotive, GP38-2 #1776, features a bold red, white and blue design and initially will be used in the Burlington area and on Vermont Rail System’s Champlain Valley Dinner Train which runs weekends between Burlington and Middlebury, Vermont.
